A view of Ibsley Water frozen over through the letter box window of a hide at Blashford Lakes Wildlife Reserve near Ringwood, Hampshire. Formerly the site of RAF Ibsley from 1941 to 1947 and then used for as a motor racing circuit in the early 1950s before huge gravel pits were created by aggregates being extracted for the building industry until the 1980s. The lakes created from the gravel pits were then used for water storage and treatment before becoming a Nature Reserve in 1995 managed by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.
